Helps reduce CO2 emissions by almost 55%, hence reducing global warming
Clean form of energy / does not create pollution
Environmentally friendly / Ecological Heating
Do away with water heating bills and help clean up your environment. Our solar water heaters are extremely easy to install and are maintenance free. The potential of solar energy is incredible. The sun is classified as an alternative energy resource. That means it will never end. Using the sun as energy resource is booth smart, economical and environmental friendly. Solar heaters does not pollute the environment in any aspects, even the manufacturing process in itself is friendly against the environment.
New government policy to make it compulsory to introduce solar water heating on all new builds and refurbishments
Solar water heating has to account for up to 70% of the hot water supply in a dwelling in Andalucia.
This new construction regulation will effect over half a million new homes per year
Spain is the first European country to introduce the use of solar panels in restoration and construction projects.
Spain is one of Europe’s sunniest lands
Solar panels can cut the water heating bills by up to 70%
Under normal conditions an average person uses around 30 litres of hot water per day.
Spain lags far behind Germany on solar energy, where 5.4 million square meters of solar panels are currently in use
Germany is Europe’s largest user of solar panels and uses 10 times more solar panels than Spain
Spain is one of the worlds biggest manufacturer of solar panels
In 2005, a million square meters of solar panel were installed in Germany compared to 100,000 square meters in Spain
Over the past 5 years, solar panel have been installed in 3.5 million properties in Spain yielding a cost saving of around 245 million euros.
The Spanish government led by Jose Zapatero is seeking a ten fold increase in the area of solar panel, from the present total of 581,000 square meters to around 5.8 million square meters, in Spain by the year 2010
Subsidies of 40% are available on the installation of solar panels.
The EU reports that energy savings will be around 30-40% for each building and CO2 emissions will be reduced by 40-55%
High oil prices
Global warning
Government policy to reduce CO2 emissions
Domestic hot water
Private / public swimming pools
Hotels / holiday apartments
Caravan Sites / wooden homes / shower blocks, Schools
Solar energy is the cleanest and most inexhaustible of all known energy sources. Solar radiation is the heat, light and other radiant energy that is emitted from the sun. The sun's energy, although plentiful, has been hard to directly harness until recently.
Solar water heater converts solar energy into thermal energy, then heat the water step by step. The beauty of our solar water heaters is that it does not create pollution or harmful emissions, and is extremely economical - the fuel (sunshine) is free! In addition all of our solar products are environmentally friendly.
Solar Energy can be classified into two categories, Thermal and Photo-voltaic (PV) cells. PV use semiconductor-based technology to convert light energy directly into an electric current that can either be used immediately, or stored in a battery, for later use. PV panels are now becoming widely used, as they are very versatile, and can be easily mounted on buildings and other structures. They can provide a clean, renewable energy source, which can supplement and thus minimize the use of mains electricity supply. In regions without main electricity supply such as remote communities, emergency phones etc, PV energy can provide a reliable supply of electricity. The disadvantage of PV panels is their high cost and relatively low energy conversion rate (only 13-15%). Thermal solar on the other hand has average efficiency levels 4-5 times that of PV, and is therefore much cheaper per unit of energy produced.
Thermal energy can be used to passively heat buildings through the use of certain building materials and architectural design, or used directly to heat water for household use. In many regions, solar water heaters are now a viable supplement or alternative to electric or gas hot water production.
Thermal energy obtained from the sun can be used for a number of applications including producing hot water, space and under floor heating.
Using solar and other forms of renewable energy reduces the reliance on fossil fuels for energy production, thus directly reducing CO2 emissions. CO2 emissions contribute to global warming, an environmental issue which is now of great concern. The average household can reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 20% by installing by installing one of our advanced solar water heaters.
